Cutr - Shared Household Finance SaaS

RustAxumPostgreSQLRedisFlutterSaaS
Cutr is a personal finance SaaS product I designed, built, and released end-to-end. It helps individuals and families record, review, and understand household money without turning it into a complicated accounting exercise — a primary user can manage their own finances, then invite a spouse or family member into a shared workspace to collaborate with the same context.
Core Features
- Shared workspaces for couples and families with invitations and collaborative access
- Transaction tracking with categories, accounts, and balances
- Budgeting and cash flow reports
- Recurring transactions and transfer handling between accounts
- App-open PIN lock for privacy on shared devices
- Transactional email (welcome emails, notifications) and in-app feedback
Tech Stack
- Backend: Rust, Axum, SeaORM, PostgreSQL, Redis (caching and background jobs via Apalis), Lettre for email, Sentry for error tracking
- App: Flutter, built mobile-first and published as a web app (WASM) via Firebase
- Marketing Site: Hugo, Tailwind CSS
I owned the product end-to-end — from backend architecture and data modeling to the client app and marketing site — and shipped it as a solo project.
